I hope every one of you is doing well.As many of you already know, Nightcry was officially released on Steam this past March! How exciting is that? I've yet to buy the play the game, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it from the screenshots and trailers I've seen. I mean, who doesn't want to see Scissorman again after how many years? With that being said, recently I was visiting one of my favorite Clock Tower fansites called Le Manoir Burroughs (Burroughs Manor), and I saw on the first page that a soundtrack collection of all the first Clock Tower games would be re released for Clock Tower's 20th Anniversary! The post was made back on January 4th, so it is a little dated, but this is great news for the Clock Tower community to say the least!
Now, this website is entirely in French. And since I speak French, and I know a lot of you do not, I've taken the liberty of translating the post for all of you with the help of my wonderful boyfriend (who speaks WAY better French than I do). Thanks a lot, bebe! Sorry for the journal spam! After that last journal my heart starting to swell up with nostalgia and a little sadness so I started lurking around on the web for ANY news of anything Clock Tower related and low and behold we ARE getting a new game!I happened to come across the wikipedia page and we are to get a new game called Nightcry which takes place 10 years after Haunting Ground.
And it should be coming out SOON!I even got the trailer here:What do you guys think? Personally I'm jumping like crazy! I'm just glad to see Clock Tower back! Leave your thoughts! Just a quick note has made a facebook page strictly for Clock Tower if you'd like to join. And also made a new confession blog on Tumblr since the older one we posted back in 2013 has been deactivated.
Give them a follow if you'd like.Other than that, there's not much to say at the moment. I've noticed we've gotten quite a bit of new members, which I welcome you all and hopefully we can get this place a little more active in the future! Maybe even start a contest soon if I can get enough people involved.See you guys soon! I hope you all had a nice Halloween these past few days. Did anyone dress up or cosplay?I know it's been quite a long time since I last checked in with you all. I've slowly been trying to live my life as an adult (huge emphasis on 'trying'), so my life has just been a crazy mix between work and school.
I figured I'd say hello again with a review of one of my most beloved games: Clock Tower The First Fear for the SNES! It's a review by one of my favorite YouTubers, JonTron, who does a lot of reviews for B-Games or games that aren't very well known. He was also apart of the Let's Play Channel Game Grumps for a small period. When I saw that he had actually done a review for Clock Tower, I was so thrilled, I died a little inside. It's a little nerve wracking watching him play, but mainly because I've played this game SO many times over that I pretty much know what to do in any situation. XD Such as when he picks up the meat and doesn't give it to Simon Barrows, and just keeps it for the rest of the game.
Also, what irked me the most was that he referred to Bobby as Dan, but I can understand that confusion with anyone who isn't really familiar with the series itself. Because only the PS version was released in America (Scissorman being referred to as Dan), I suppose that can tie into it.
But what baffles me is that Mary calls Scissorman Bobby IN THE GAME. What the hell, bro?ANYWHO, I hope you guys enjoy the video as much as I did. It was a great Halloween treat for me, and even though I saw flaws in the video, I enjoyed watching JonTron play, as much as I always do.
The ending especially made up for everything.I was very appalled by what I saw in our General Folder and our Featured Folder. We are not, by any means, a group that is open for anything horror-related. We are group that is strictly dedicated to the survival horror series Clock Tower. So to whoever is uploading the horror manips to our General Folder, please STOP. I will be deleting all the improperly placed deviations and for future reference, all deviations will be now subject to vote before they are submitted.Really, can't some people read?
Clock Tower 3 is a survival horror video game co-developed by Capcom and Sunsoft for the PlayStation 2.Released in 2002, it is the fourth installment in the Clock Tower series. Why it rocks. As opposed to the point-and-click gameplay used in the previous games, Clock Tower 3 is the first game in the series to incorporate direct control over the protagonist. The game was such a hit, it spawned a number of sequels, until it finally came to a conclusion with 2002's Clock Tower 3, and the spin-off.
The fact that deviants out there who are just uploading deviations willy-nilly to every single group just for attention really irritates me. Is it really about how many comments and favourites you get now? Or how many views or llama badges you have? And people wonder why I don't come around here that often anymore.

Before Resident Evil and Silent Hill, horror games were kind of all over the place. Very rarely were they actually scary or even trying to be really. At best you’d end up with sort of Halloweenie games that just has horror themes (Castlevania, SplatterHouse), and the first real survival horror game was Atari’s Alone in the Dark, which honestly doesn’t hold up well at all, at least in my opinion. But you know what does hold up well? 1995’s Clock Tower.
Even as a Super Famicom game (The original never came to the West) the original Clock Tower is still a panic-inducing and frightening game to this day. It drips with atmosphere and classic horror sensibilities with its main antagonist, the Scissor Man. The game was such a hit, it spawned a number of sequels, until it finally came to a conclusion with 2002’s Clock Tower 3, and the spin-off Haunting Grounds. Its legacy still holds today with the successfully crowd-funded NightCry, a spiritual successor being developed by both veterans of the Clock Tower franchise but also of horror games in general.
In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the original game, Capcom is releasing a CD collection with the soundtracks of Clock Tower, Clock Tower 2 and Clock Tower: Ghost Head (which was released in the US as Clock Tower 2, since we never got the first game). The four disc collection will be released in Japan at 5400 yen, or $43.83 US, as well as a collector’s edition that comes with a vinyl record of select tunes, digital copies of the music and special packaging for 10,969 yen or $89.04 US.
This collection will be coming out January 16th of next year, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it!
