No doubt, there was a wealth of knowledge. It was a great place to bench race, share ideas, and share solutions. Then something flipped, like a floodgate of trailer trash showed up and dropped the collective IQ 100 points. Fights, trolls, bad information flying around all the time. Now it's junk.Seems TT became a business more bent on selling crap through their store, then with being a quality collection of accomplished professionals.
Or maybe not. I dunno, I didn't stick around to figure out the problem, I just recognized it was happening. Used on Ebay, craigslist/kijiji.Re-furbed,.It's pretty easy to tell if a used carb is toast, check the slide for cracks and free-play.Other than that, just the used carb a clean and replace all the jets and needles to match the recommended specs on TT.I bought my carb for $100, I made an airbox boot adapter (mine didn't have the removable intake bell), replaced all the jets, tossed a flexible mixture screw for a total of $200.I didn't like the idle adjuster on the carb, so I spent way too much on the suzuki brand parts ($70) and made the idle adjuster more compact and cleaner.
